About us

Plastics belong to the core business of RASCHIG GmbH and are an integral part of our product portfolio. Company founder, Dr. Friedrich Raschig, is among the pioneers in the development of the first synthetic polymers at the beginning of the 20th century. To this day, our thermosetting moulding compounds in particular are the first choice internationally when it comes to processing first-class materials.

In over 100-years of company history, we have developed and constantly improved a large number of products in close cooperation with our customers. We have also strengthened, diversified and broadened our product portfolio through various acquisitions. We are not resting on our laurels, because our success stands for continuous progress. Thus we have constantly improved our range of products with a focus away from mass production on the development of quality products for special applications.

Through the combination of many years of experience, modern production technology and strategic acquisitions, RASCHIG GmbH became one of the global market leaders for special products in the field of free-flowing, thermosetting moulding compounds. We offer our customers a very broad assortment of highly specific and individualised products for many sophisticated applications. We have a total of 15 modern production lines, which are designed to meet the requirements of specific product groups according to the production technology.

Complementing our orientation as a provider of customised products, we have focused on developing epoxy resin moulding compounds in past years. The result of this highly successful development work was a large number of new products for countless application fields with the highest requirements in the automotive and electrical engineering sectors. RASCHIG GmbH has become the leading European manufacturer for this product group in the meantime.

Our headquarters of the plastics division is located in Ludwigshafen/Rhine.

Here also the central departments for sales & marketing, quality management and the division management are situated. Also incorporated into the headquarters are the areas of technical customer service and development. In order to guarantee our customers consistently high quality and safety, we have an excellently equipped technical centre for near-production material development and a wide range of possibilities for application tests.

With our three production locations in Ludwigshafen/Rhine, the Rötha site in the south of Leipzig and Synres Almoco in Hoek van Holland (NL), there is also a reliable security of supply in terms of production capability.
